about
Your Name is the debut single of Hey Bertha, a Singer-Songwriter based in Palm Springs, California.
About Hey Bertha: Hey Bertha is the latest project from Emily Parasiliti; bringing you big-toe tapping Americana music inspired by the back roads of the American countryside. Before Hey Bertha, Emily toured for 3 years with The Coteries as the lead vocalist and harmonica player. She played over 400 shows across 46 states opening for artists like The Marshall Tucker Band, Brandi Carlile, The Fray & Ricky Skaggs. Endorsed by GoWesty, Emily traveled by VW Bus writing stories from her experiences on the back roads of the American countryside. Emily has earned numerous accolades for her songwriting, including awards in The American Songwriter Lyric Competition for "Dance" and "You're Here Now", and has penned lyrics for Grammy Winning Artists.
With a recent relocation from Colorado to the deserts of California, her debut single will be out on August 14th.
About Your Name: After binge watching too many hours of Netflix during the quarantine, Emily set out into the California desert to breathe in the fresh air. She had recently watched the show "You", a charming little show about murder and love, and started thinking about the concept of falling in love at first sight. Maybe it was the coyotes howling or the stillness of the desert air, but it really sent a chill up her spine. How can you see someone and instantly know you want to spend the rest of your life with them? They could be a murderer, YOU could be a murderer, but all of a sudden you're thinking about what you'll name your kids and where you'll retire to grow old and grey together...but you don't even know their name. "Your Name" is a song about that moment you lay eyes on someone for the first time and fall deeply in love with a stranger.

lyrics
Your eyes are like marbles,
reflecting everything that you see.
Your skin is like honey,
dripping from the comb of a bee.
Your laugh is like the wind on a hot day
cooling me off while the sun stays on my face
I love you so much, can I take you back to my place.
I don't even know your name, but I'd like to.
Your touch is like water
it's washing my body clean.
The way you walk is like a tremor, oh,
it's quaking me at my knees.
Your voice is like the hum of an engine
cruising down an open road the wheels spinning
I'm rolling down the windows, you got my head lifted
but I don't even know your name
no I don't even know your name but I want to
CHORUS
Tell me what's your name, tell me what's your name
baby tell me what's your name
Tell me what's your name, tell me what's your name
I hope you don't think it's strange
I just think you're kind of perfect and I know it might be worth it
so baby tell me what's your
We could be star crossed lovers
a little bit of Johnny and June
one of those great love stories
would sure look good on me and you
we could be like Bonnie and Clyde
taking on the world if I've got you by my side
you'd be holding my hand while I'm shooting out the sky
and I don't even know your name
no I don't even know your name but I want to
CHORUS
Tell me what's your name, tell me what's your name
baby tell me what's your name
Tell me what's your name, tell me what's your name
I hope you don't think it's strange
cuz if I knew your name, if I knew your name
Oh I'd never ever be the same
so Tell me what's your name, tell me what's your name
baby tell me what's your name
